... could this be the best place to live in Costa Rica? |
|
Grecia, Costa Rica...up until just a few years ago...was known only as a sleepy little "coffee town" with the "big red metal church" in the center of town. Now?...it is probably best known as having one of the best infrastructures ( water, electric, roads, etc ) in Costa Rica AND for being "the cleanest city in Latin America". People are moving here from other "more upscale" areas of Costa Rica because crime is almost nonexistent, it is still convenient to shopping and dining areas AND the airport ( 25 minutes away ) But...other than the simple location of Grecia... "what makes it special". In a nutshell...The mountains overlooking the town provide almost the perfect climate (68-82 degrees F ALL YEAR ROUND) ...vistas are gorgeous and mountains and volcanoes surround the town and area...the area of Grecia is agricultural based , dependent upon sugar cane and coffee ( it is GREEN all year round )...the town is progressive yet rural ( you have to see it before you can say "Grecia feels good"...corny but true )...mountain living is less crowded while still offering security... |
